One to One sessions

Do you want your dog to come back when called? Walk nicely on a lead? Perhaps you need your dog to be calm with other dogs and people? Perhaps they steal food and items, maybe you want to make sure introductions go well with other animals and resident children? Well these are behaviours I can help you with. Even if you have a new puppy, and you want to make sure you get them on to the right path. You might have even just adopted a rescue dog and you want to start building a bond so you can build a trusting life together! Then hesitate no more and get in touch today.

I offer an initial consultation for £75. This includes a written report, and usually lasts up to two hours. The write up will include a suggested training plan, including number of sessions. It also includes a goody bag (with treats and a practical toy) and a follow up phone call.

You can then book follow on sessions in blocks of 3 for £105, 4 for 140, 5 for £175. Single sessions are £50 after the initial consultation

What do you get for your money?

  • Instructions designed to be clear for you to understand and follow so you are able to change your dog's behaviour, and understand how your dog is feeling

  • Enough sessions to really make a difference in real life situations, we ensure you work on training issues in these scenarios – your dog might be great during a training class, but perhaps it seems to fail when you go into the real world.

  • A mixture of me training your dog and me training you to train your dog, as family will have different needs and requirements of their dog and relationship.

  • Ongoing support outside our sessions by email, phone and video as you need it when you need it

  • An understanding of how dogs learn so that you are better equipped to problem solve in the future and therefore understand your canine companion better

  • Written training plans and reports that you can refer back to so you aren't expected to remember, so you have the best chance of success

  • A focus on real life manners, skills and problem solving so that you know you and your dog will have fun learning, while building a great relationship together.

  • We focus on you and your dog’s relationship and bond.

  • A commitment to effective and kind dog training, using my own skills and knowledge to best suit you. I'm also a member of the Association of pet dog trainers, which means I'm certified and have a strict code of conduct to adhere to.

  • I only take on a minimum number of clients at most at any one time, so that I can be absolutely sure that you are getting enough support, attention and thought. Happy dogs and happy owners, is what I strive for.

  • Telephone, Whatsapp and email support throughout the week

I know that 3 months of effort from you and your family (3 blocks of training sessions) can make a huge difference to you and your dog. It only takes around 20 minutes a day of work from you, and some new habits for your best friend to start being a good companion again, and to get you enjoying life with them. I can help with any training issues you may have from not coming back when called, to being too strong on the lead. If I feel that you need help from a behaviourist, then I will refer you immediately and refund any unused money.

I wanted to give clients some indication of a realistic time scale and knowledge that they would be supported enough to make a change in their dog’s behaviour in the real world. I found that the clients that did the best were those that worked over a few months with me, and so I decided I would rather offer a limited number of committed partnerships my full attention than juggle many more people who would only book in occasionally, and having no real success with their dog.
